TREE is an official UN Decade project
The National Committee of the UN "World Decade of Education for Sustainable Development", honored the TREE project.
In July 2009 the jury of the National Committee of the UN "World Decade of Education for Sustainable Development", honored RENAC's TREE project "Transfer Renewable Energy & Efficiency" by recognizing it as an official Decade project.
TREE project received this award owing to its innovative strategy for sustainability on an international scale.
In the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, exemplary projects for innovative and effective implementation of sustainable education are being commended. The award is conferred by a jury consisting of 12 members of the National Committee, which is convened by the German UNESCO Commission. The UN Decade, instigated in 2002 by the United Nations (UN), has the aim of anchoring the principles of sustainable development in national education systems worldwide.
